TORQUAY.

Torquay has a bustling waterfront with a palm-tree lined promenade, which is only a five-minute walk from the Moonraker hotel.

The beautiful seafront gardens are a great place to go when the tide is in or for a summer picnic or a winter stroll.

Walk along the front and you reach Torquay’s stylish marina with its sporty yachts and its glamorous gin palaces. Great to look at and even better to dream about!!!

Just around the corner is the pavilion shopping centre, which was originally a theatre in Edwardian times but is now home to a large number of specialist shops with a restaurant above with terraces that look out over the marina.

Torquay also has the princess theatre which is really easy to get to from the Moonraker hotel it always has a programme packed with top west end shows and performances so you can catch a show during your stay with us give us a call and we can let you know what’s on!!

Torquay is a great place for shopping with all the high street names and lots more along Union Street, which again is only a short walk from the Moonraker hotel.
The street also includes a wide range of cafes, bars takeaways and pubs so plenty to do for the novice shopper.

Further down towards the harbour from union street is the fleet walk shopping centre, this is a semi pedestrianised street where you will again find all the big high street names and a wide range of imaginative independent retailers where you will find the best gifts for you and your friends.

Torquay also has a great nightlife for all ages. The town centre is as bustling at night as it is during the day, with clubs and pubs all being open until around 2am. Offering a range of cheap drinks and special offers, a few also offer entertainment.

The best place to go for live entertainment close to the Moonraker hotel is the Rainbow cabaret club, which offers a range of live entertainment and discos until 1am. It is only a short walk and we will be happy to give you directions.

If this isn’t your scene and you just fancy a walk, the seafront and harbour look beautiful at night and is well worth a look with the lights shining across the bay.
